Last month during a visit to Texas’s South Llano River State Park, we observed many White-tailed Deer grazing through the wooded area near the campground. For a short time I was able to follow one particular young buck around and capture him in several poses.
The White-tailed Deer population is so high at some Texas State Parks that they are closed to tourists a few days each fall and winter to allow controlled deer hunting. Such was the case at this park soon after we left.
