Guests of a Fallen Tree — 6 Comments

    • A couple of days ago, two Wood Ducks landed on the pond and inspected the floating “logs” (really, branches) that we put in the water. They chased minnows a while, then flew away.

  1. I think you were wise to remove the tree. Under extreme rain, the tree would get heavier and the levee would get softer, possibly leading to a rupture of the levee. The birds will adjust to the new surroundings.

    Good shots!
