No story here, just a couple of shots of a Green Heron seen during my last visit to Lake Martin . . . .
For part of the time I was watching it, the heron’s head feathers were flared up, giving it an interesting look.

At one point, the heron’s “hair” flattened out, and it twisted its body a bit, apparently looking up at something. I never saw what attracted its attention.

I had seen Green Herons at Lake Martin before, but this was the first one that was clear of tree foliage and close enough to photograph.
